Sorry About That . . .

Sorry you haven't seen any updates from our trip since last Friday. We've had difficulty with internet connections as well as time to do posts. So far we've been to Barcelona, Rome, Naples. Florence and today are in Nice. Have tons of pictures to post as well as stories to tell when we have better internet access. Check back.

WE'RE HERE!

Our group of travelers arrived in Barcelona yesterday, October 11. Every trans-Atlantic flight reminds me that God must have created the human body to cross 7 time zones by ship rather than by jet airplane. There's something to be said to taking 7 days to adjust to 7 hours of time difference rather than the 7 hours it took from just Minneapolis to Amsterdam. All told we were "up" or at least semi-awake for about 24 hours. Nevertheless, Northwest/KLM airlines did a good job for us. In the era of bad publicity for airlines - this trip worked. All of us and all of our luggage traveled the 4,600 plus miles together and arrived at the same place, at the same time in Barcelona. We were promptly met at the Barcelona Airport by Royal Caribbeian staff and were transfered to our hotel in reasonable order. The Silken Hotel Diagonal is an interesting little boutique hotel that reminds you a lot of the South Beach hotels in Miami. Below are some views of some of our "happy" traveling company:

OUTTA HERE

After almost a year of planning and 24 strong our group of Wine Lovers leaves today for our Wine Cruise to the Med. Today we fly to Minneapolis, Amsterdam and arrive at our first stop over in Barcelona tomorrow afternoon. We'll spend a couple of nights in Barcelona sightseeing and wine tasting before boarding the Voyager of the Seas on Saturday afternoon to sail to Rome, then Naples and Florence in Italy, Nice and Marseilles in France and then back to Barcelona the following Saturday. Check back for more commentary and photos of this trip!
